Our Club Activities

The Lions Club of South Barwon have been serving the Geelong South Barwon communities without want or reward since 1965. During that time club fund raising activities have included:

Monster BBQ's,

Gymkhanas,

Clay Target Gun Shoots,

Beer & Wine Tastings,

Canoe Marathons,

Sheep Manure bagging and sales,

car parking at major events such as the biannual Airshows Downunder, and

Father Christmas service.

These activities together with specific collections to support natural disasters like Cyclone Tracey and bush fires the Club has raised over $330,000 since inception.

Regular Lions projects like Christmas cakes, Lions Mints, Youth of the Year, Youth Exchange, Miss Personality, Lions Eye Bank and the collection of used spectacles have been supported.

The club has also provided a kennel for the Hearing Dog Centre in South Australia.
